Dr. Stella graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2006 and worked at a well-established clinic in Mississauga for 20 years. In 2026 she welcomed the opportunity to join Georgetown Animal Clinic as Medical Director. She is passionate about providing high-quality medicine while fostering a positive, collaborative culture in the clinic. She enjoys mentoring and encourages open communication to help teams thrive in a way that is both sustainable and rewarding.
Dr. Stella’s love for animal medicine began as a young girl when she watched veterinarians perform surgery on a horse. She remembers being completely drawn in—captivated by their focus and in awe of the profound impact they could have on an animal’s life. That moment sparked a lifelong passion for veterinary medicine. While the equine world first captured her interest, she ultimately found her place caring for the pets who share our homes.
Throughout her career, Dr. Stella has remained deeply dedicated to providing thoughtful, compassionate care to her patients while building strong, trusting relationships with their families. She understands that pets are cherished members of the family and believes the best care comes from listening closely, communicating clearly, and working together with clients to make informed decisions.
Professionally, her special interests lie in preventative medicine, pain management, geriatric medicine, and surgery. She believes in supporting quality of life and helping pets age gracefully.
When she’s not at work Dr. Stella enjoys the great outdoors. When the opportunity arises, she can be found hiking, paddling or camping. She volunteers her time as a communications coach at OVC, participates in annual wellness and surgical clinics at First Nations communities, and co-vets a dog sled race each winter in Kearney. Her family and 4 pets (2 cats, 1 dog and 1 horse) are a source of great joy in her life.
