Dr. Joey earned her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Guelph before graduating with distinction from the Ontario Veterinary College.
From a young age, she witnessed the profound impact that animals can have on people’s lives. Whether volunteering at a senior home with therapy dogs or watching her family dog connect with her brother, who has special needs, the power of the human-animal bond has always been deeply inspiring to her. This passion ultimately led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Joey is committed to building strong relationships with clients and working together to achieve the best possible health outcomes for their pets. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, emergency and critical care, and shelter medicine.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband, dog (Miso), and two recently adopted cats (Pekoe and Panko). She also loves travelling, exploring the outdoors, caring for her plant collection, and playing board games with friends.
